Podcast here ... Podcast there ... Podcast Podcast EVERYWHEREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! So this blog comes a bit late because I got caught up with school work. However I do remember doing the activity.  Getting into the world of podcasts has been something quite new to me despite my many years dealing with technology. It is not something that I usually found myself being able to wrap my head around. I suppose it was partially due to my self-conciousness with respect to hearing my own voice.  Some of the podcasts I listened to were quite engaging. I was most amused by the creativity some employed to get you to click on their podcasts by simply putting "horrible voice do not listen to" ... and yeah ... I have to admit ... it worked !!!  Am I going to be this creative when creating my own podcasts? I don't know, I'd probably be spending most of the time being too nervous about how I sound! We'll see how this goes! Buckle up and stay tuned!
And here we are again with another weekly update on my Multimedia Course  I have to admit this course is challenging but in a good way. It has been forcing me to step outside my comfort zone to do a lot of things. I usually don't mind speaking and infront of crowds, but when I have to be recorded and validated, that's when I get nervous. And this course has been making me face up to that.  I've been learning how to speak, articulate and being exposed to simple software that I can use for editing to help enhance my podcasts. That's another thing. I never thought I'd get into podcasting. So that has also been a first for me. I tried to include one of the links to my course, let me know what you all think about it!  Feedback is great and welcomed, just, be gentle would you! :)  Lesson One - https://epic.colvee.org/podcastsandbox/index.php/podcast/diet-health-and-nutrition/ Lesson Two - https://epic.colvee.org/podcastsandbox/index.php/podcast/diet-health-and-nutrit...
So first off let me start by saying ... WOW this course is more intense than I realised. I have done a lot of online courses and this one has been one of the most comprehensive ones I have had to do in a while !!!  So in light of the Podcast "152: Creating Moments of Genuine Connection Online"   It has been eye opening and yet comforting it is good to know that follow educators have been expressing the importance to create these connections that people sometimes take for granted. When we are in a physical environment we take for granted the positive impacts that physical interactions can have on students and during this pandemic has surely caused us to see the importance of that.    Sitting on a virtual classroom, behind a screen listening to a teacher or classmate, severely limits that ability to interact and some even express their concern with wanting to connect to others but no longer feel that in the virtual environment.    I myself have tried to...
So I have been recently doing a few online courses and found this one about Mobile Learning with Multimedia.  Now I consider myself pretty tech savvy and I have been an educator for a number of years. But getting into this course has me nervous.  I have never considered myself to be articulate when speaking and I am always mindful of the impression I give others. I sincerely hope I can live up to the expectations of the course So far, everything has been going well. The videos are very simple to follow and I appreciate the templates that they give us to follow when designing our videos. I honestly didn't realise the amount of work, prep time and consideration that has to be taken into account when creating this sort of content.  This is truly an eye-opening experience and I hope I can see this all the way through.
